AFFORDABILITY & TAXES

Keeping families in Fairfax County.
Northern Virginia has become too expensive for young people, working families and seniors living on fixed incomes. Rising taxes, higher energy bills, housing prices are squeezing family budgets and pushing people out of the communities they love.
Cassandra's opponent does not have a plan to reduce the cost of living in Fairfax County and supports the mandates that raise energy bills.
"I will work to make life more affordable so people can live, work, and build their futures right here in Fairfax County." ~ CA
CASSANDRA’S PLAN
• Cut the car tax, end tax on tips, and fight rising property taxes
• Support affordable, reliable energy options
• Reform the Virginia Clean Economy Act; address data center strategies
• Reduce red tape, incentivize housing construction, build supply
• Oppose new taxes and cost increases that hurt residents
• Bring more of our tax dollars back home to Fairfax County

You shouldn't have to leave Fairfax County because you can't afford it anymore.
PUBLIC SAFETY

Safe neighborhoods. Strong communities.
Fairfax families and local businesses have seen the consequences of soft-on-crime policies — from rising retail crime to repeat offenders and preventable harm. We must support law enforcement and stop dangerous early-release policies that put communities at risk.
Cassandra's opponent supports weak policies that make our communities less safe.
"I will stand with those who protect us and work on the policies that make our communities less safe." ~ CA
CASSANDRA’S PLAN
• Support law enforcement; protect qualified immunity
• Reform the early-release policy that has almost 50% reimprisonment rate, so violent offenders stay off the streets
• Strengthen penalties for human trafficking & fentanyl
• Ensure crimes against small businesses are taken seriously

Every person deserves to feel safe — at home, at school, and at work.
EDUCATION EXCELLENCE
Every child deserves a great education.
Student performance in Fairfax County has slipped, and too many decisions come from a bloated central office. We need to refocus on strong academics, parent involvement, and safe classrooms where every student can thrive. And for many, college is out of reach for many without substantial financial assistance.
When Cassandra’s opponent was on the school board, classrooms stay closed long after the rest of the nation was back — and student achievement still hasn’t recovered. Today, nearly 30% of Fairfax County third graders cannot read on grade level. She supports one-size-fits-all policies for individual student needs and supports policies that shut parents and guardians out of critical decisions — including gender identity — and put girls’ safety at risk.

"Every student should have the chance to succeed in a safe learning environment — without being trapped by a system that doesn’t fit them or a future buried in college debt. Girls' sports and private spaces are for girls, not biological boys." ~ CA
CASSANDRA’S PLAN
• Prioritize proven instruction in reading, math, and science, expand CTE
• Support teachers and reduce unnecessary bureaucracy, fund schools responsibly
• Empower parents & guardians to choose the best education option for their child - expand school choice alternatives
• Increase transparency and accountability in results with independent audits and clear performance data
• Protect girls' private spaces and Title IX and fairness in girls' sports
• Make colleges more affordable, ensure higher education leads to opportunity

Learning first. Parents and guardians involved. Girls protected. A future every student can afford.

BETTER COMMUTES
Less time in traffic. More time at home.
Sky-high tolls and inadequate road investments punish drivers every day. We send billions to Richmond and get too little back.
Cassandra's opponent has no plan.
"Northern Virginia commuters are paying more and getting less. I’ll fight for fair funding and toll reform so Northern Virginia drivers get relief — and ensure congestion relief projects like the Reston Town Center underpass and Fairfax County Parkway expansion finally move forward." ~ CA
CASSANDRA’S PLAN
• Reform toll agreements to deliver real commuter relief
• Push for more state funding in local road improvements
• Prioritize congestion relief projects starting at home in Reston
• Work with state boards to get more projects in Northern Virginia.

Your commute shouldn’t take your time and your money.
STRONG ECONOMY
Opportunity starts here.
Northern Virginia thrives when businesses grow, hire, and innovate and not so dependent on the government. We must protect our economic strengths and diversify so we aren’t vulnerable to federal workforce cuts. And we must avoid development schemes that would undermine long-term economic health.
Cassandra's opponent has said she will work to repeal Virginia’s Right-to-Work law — a move that would hurt worker freedom, including federal government workers' who are transitioning, and drive away business investment. Her party’s leadership is pushing a casino in Tysons, a decision that would harm nearby neighborhoods and small businesses.
"We succeed when businesses grow — not when government expands and bets our future on gambling." ~ CA
CASSANDRA’S PLAN
• Protect Right-to-Work so workers have freedom and employers choose Fairfax and Virginia
• Reduce burdens that make it hard for small businesses to get established and operate
• Work to further diversify our local economy
• Support workforce retraining and job mobility
• Oppose casino development in Tysons and Fairfax County

We need to protect what makes Fairfax strong — not put it at risk.
HEALTHY COMMUNITIES
Supporting real health needs close to home.
One out of 3 of our 8th-12th graders reported feeling sad or hopeless for more than two weeks, one of four adults in Virginia has a diagnosed mental illness. Lyme disease affects many residents across Fairfax County and Virginia - a disease that doesn't go away. A recent Johns Hopkins report states that “an estimated 400,000 Americans are diagnosed with Lyme Disease each year."
Cassandra's opponent supports more bureaucracy.
"I will focus on the real needs and the most efficient and effective ways to address them, not add bureaucracy."
CASSANDRA’S PLAN
• Expand access to youth mental health resources
• Develop a comprehensive mental-health support plan that coordinates federal, state, and local resources.
• Establish a statewide initiative to work on preventing and treating Lyme Disease.

Healthy families make our community stronger.
